Essential Functions
- Lead initiatives to resolve supply chain disruptions related to casting components quality/technical issues.
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities, including foundry processes, capacity, and
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues such as defects, dimensional non-conformance, and material inconsistencies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring quality or
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Production) to align supply chain strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance (OTD, quality, cost) and lead continuous improvement
- Support cost reduction initiatives through design optimization and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 8 years of experience in casting or metallurgic engineering or foundry operations.
- Aerospace or automotive experience.
- Strong knowledge of casting processes (investment casting, sand casting, die casting, etc.)
- Proven track record of resolving manufacturing/quality issues in casting components.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Knowledge of metallurgical analysis and defect analysis techniques.
- Experience in supplier development and supply chain management.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, and supplier qualification processes.
- Familiarity with aerospace or high-spec industrial components is preferred.
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AMS).
- Work is performed in both office and plant settings.
- Domestic and international travel is required(possible 50%).
