Industrial Spray Painter – Custom Sign Manufacturing

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Based in Falconer, NY, Hanson Sign Companies designs and manufactures custom signage for some of the most recognized brands, venues, and attractions in the country. From stadiums and entertainment destinations to breweries, theaters, and government facilities, our work can be found across the nation.
We're seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join our team. This position is responsible for applying high-quality automotive-grade finishes to custom signs and components made from materials including aluminum, HDU, PVC, acrylic, plastics, cedar, and redwood.
Work is performed in a modern downdraft spray booth using proper safety equipment. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and pride in producing exceptional finished products.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders and production documents
- Mix paints and coatings to required colors and finishes
- Prepare, mask, tape, and protect surfaces for painting
- Apply automotive-grade finishes using spray equipment
- Move signs and components safely in and out of the spray booth
- Use drying and baking equipment when required
- Perform quality inspections and complete production documentation
- Maintain painting equipment and a clean, organized work area
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive, industrial, or commercial spray painting
- Strong understanding of paint preparation, mixing, and application
- Experience maintaining and cleaning spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow specifications and work instructions
- Ability to read drawings and production documents
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift, move, and position signs and materials of varying sizes
