What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Building Substitute position at Hanson School?
This full-time, school-year position as a Building Substitute Teacher reports daily to Hanson Elementary School to ensure classroom continuity across PreK through Grade 3. The ideal candidate understands Hanson's process to smoothly transition between early childhood classrooms to implement lesson plans, manage behavior using PBIS and age-appropriate strategies, and support diverse learning needs. To comply with Maine Department of Education regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) approval. While a high school diploma qualifies for short-term emergency coverage, a minimum of 60 college credits or a Maine teaching certificate (Endorsement 020 or 029) is highly preferred to allow for greater assignment flexibility.
