RESPONSIBILITIES
- Culture and engineer cell lines; prepare reagents and test agents used in in vivo studies.
- Perform in vitro cell-based killing assays and binding assays using standard techniques such as ELISA, and flow cytometry.
- Perform and conduct dosing by oral gavage, intravenous, intraperitoneal, retro orbital, and subcutaneous routes, assessing health, and perform humane euthanasia.
- Perform tumor cell inoculation and measure tumor size and volume in CDX and/or PDX mouse models.
- Collect blood samples from rodents and perform necropsies for organ harvest.
- Exercise basic technical discretion to troubleshoot experiments.
- Coordinate and execute assigned tasks in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Review data, prepare reports, and communicate experimental results to the manager and in team meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all experimental procedures and data in an electronic laboratory notebook.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. or M.S. in Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline, with 1–2 years (with M.S.) or 3–4 years (with B.S.) of hands-on laboratory experience in an industrial or academic setting.
- Proficiency in mammalian cell culture; knowledge of flow cytometry, Western blotting, and ELISA is a plus.
- Proven experience in small animal handling, tumor cell inoculation, and tumor size and volume measurement in CDX/PDX models.
- Experience with oral gavage (PO) and other administration routes such as intraperitoneal (IP), subcutaneous (SC), intratumoral (IT), and intravenous (IV) dosing is required.
- Proficiency in blood collection and tissue harvesting during necropsy.
