THE POSITION –Associate Scientist/Scientist in Bioinformatics
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist/Scientist in Bioinformatics to join Translational Medicine team in Maryland R&D site Hansoh Bio. The successful candidate will work closely with corporate partners, cross-functional teams and project teams to support our programs. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced AI/deep learning frameworks and bioinformatic tools to accelerate drug discovery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement AI/ML/deep learning models for antibody/peptide drug discovery.
- Conduct the processing, analysis, and interpretation of NGS data from different platforms in drug development.
- Provide timely communication and high-quality visualizations of complex data to project teams and corporate partners.
- Maintain diligent records of computational workflows, code repositories (e.g., GitHub), and data logs in accordance with standard practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master or Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree should be with at least 3 years of work experience.
- High proficiency in Python, R, Bash, AI & Machine learning.
- Hands-on experience with standard bioinformatics tools and pipeline engineering tools.
- Experience in AI antibody/peptide drug discovery is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
