JOB DESCRIPTION
Employee: Shipping/Warehouse Material Handler
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Bonus Eligible
Reports To: Supervisor/Lead
JOB PURPOSE: To assist in the receiving, stocking, and shipping of materials and inventory and to maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. 1st shift 04:00 am - 12:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads material for movement to and from appropriate location per Hansgrohe prescribed policy.
- Ensure proper placement of materials in warehouse, with accurate logs kept.
- Notify management of any inventory/receiving discrepancies
- Ensure that all orders are picked/packed or shipped per Hansgrohe policy/process/procedure.
- Assist with receiving goods and verification of the shipping documents, and maintain Hansgrohe filing system.
- Assist co-workers in locating and retrieving materials, and assist with training/maintaining process with new hires.
- Utilization of SAP in material movement and closing orders.
- Responsible for working safely at all times. Adhere to all Hansgrohe safety rules, policy, and procedures.
- Restock all Kanban where applicable, while maintaining sound process documentation.
- Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory when needed.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department during shift.
- Utilize RFID device in ensuring maximized operational efficiency in all shipping/warehouse processes.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of said job.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Lead/supervisor/manager.
- Maintain “Good Attendance” as per the Hansgrohe Attendance Policy.
- Lifting of objects up to 40 lbs and for weights over 40 lbs. get assistance.
- Adhere to and fulfill all requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.
- Notify management of any Safety or Code of Conduct violations
Language Skills:
Ability to read and communicate in English effectively.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be able to work from verbal or written instructions.
- Basic math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
- Utilize hand trucks and forklifts where applicable (may be required to obtain forklift certification).
- Requires minimal supervision to perform job effectively.
- Computer skills and knowledge of SAP preferred.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred or 1-3 years of experience of material handling experience.
