What are the responsibilities and job description for the Helpdesk Technician position at Hansen Talent Group (HTG)?
Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support a large agency in Columbia, SC. This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday (8am-5pm).
What you’ll do:- Provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and other end-user equipment.
- You’ll build and deploy devices using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), ensure proper encryption and configuration, document assets, and assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle processes.
- This role requires ensuring endpoints remain connected for compliance, supporting users through the help desk system, and performing monthly patching responsibilities for tablets and iPads.
- You will also support equipment disposal, routine repairs, and coordination with vendor support as needed.
- Desktop and networked systems support experience including hands-on hardware/software installation and computer deployment
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard end-user devices
Ability to diagnose hardware/software issues and document work in a ticketing system
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Preferred:
Experience with help desk ticketing systems
Experience with the NTS Network
Experience with Active Directory or InTune
