The Career with HRI: Project Safety Manager
The Duties:
- Advise on safety and environmental issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct follow-up investigations on all major accidents.
- Complete field reports and record any infractions found on site.
- Must be knowledgeable on 1926 CFRs for Construction, including current articles on 1926 training.
- Track and analyze job site trends in accidents.
- Keep all accidents and investigations records current for OSHA and worker s compensation reports.
- Provide consultation service to employees and subcontractors with regards to safety.
- Exercise expertise in cranes, rigging, steel erection, and heavy civil construction.
- Assist in the coordination of compliance with all environmental issues on the job site.
What We'd Like To See From You:
- OSHA 510 required, and OSHA 500 certification preferred.
- First Aid / CPR Certification – must have current certification or ability to obtain.
- Construction experience in steel erection, concrete form and flatwork, and wood construction.
- Understand blueprints and know which phases of construction are compatible and not harmful to one another.
- Knowledge of/or ability to decipher current OSHA 1926 standards and EPA policy and procedures.
- Confidentiality required; ability to handle confidential information is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and reading comprehension.
- Computer skills - Excel and Word software along with Procore.
- Detail-oriented and well organized.
- Work independently with general supervision.
- Spanish language skills are helpful.
- Ability to be objective.
- Ability to work in stressful situations for extended periods of time while remaining even-tempered.
- Would like onsite in March
