The Farmers Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. Applicants with experience working for first-class hospitality organizations will be strongly considered.
Job Summary: A food Runner delivers food orders from the kitchen to the customer’s tables rapidly and accurately. They act as the point of contact between the front of the house and back of the house staff within the restaurant by ensuring customers receive their meals with quickness and hospitable skills. They maintain adequate knowledge of the menu. A food runner always provides exemplary customer service in cooperation with the entire team.
This is a Part-time year-round position
Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week. Weekends required and flexible schedules for weeknights.
Shifts Are
Monday - Friday 4:00PM - 10:00PM
Saturday - 11:00 AM - 4:00PM and 4:00PM - 10:00PM
Sunday Brunch: 7:00AM - 4:00PM and Dinner 3:00PM - 10:00PM

Job Functions
- Attends and Participates in all training sessions and team meetings.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
- Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome.
- Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately.
- Uphold sanitation and food safety principles.
- Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory.
- Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
- Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food.
- Assist in setting up buffets before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, and decorations.
- Cater to the guest’s requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service.
- Performs all assigned side work and keep kitchen server station clean.
- Assembles room service orders with Chefs guidance and delivers room service orders to quest rooms.
- Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
- Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management.
- Reports to the Restaurant Manager
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Authorized to work in the Unites States
- Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food, and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
- Available to work weekends, day and evening shifts and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter, & Mother's Day)
- Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance.
