Position Description: As a Superintendent, you will oversee and manage the daily activities on commercial construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating with subcontractors and vendors. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of urgency, excellent multitasking skills, and an uncompromising commitment to job site safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily field operations to ensure a productive, safe, and organized job site.
- Enforce all safety protocols and ensure all personnel comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and their scopes of work to maintain project progress and quality.
- Collaborate with the project management team to monitor budgets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Review and manage submittals.
- Foster strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
- Maintain detailed daily reports, documenting job progress.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all project stakeholders.
- Lead project teams with confidence, decisiveness, and a focus on shared goals and accountability.
- Manage time effectively, balancing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Collaborate with others to incorporate strategies and adapt to evolving project needs.
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent technical training and experience as a Superintendent
- Diverse project experience, with specific exposure to convenience store construction
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (or ability to complete upon hire)
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience with Procore is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 100%, with typical project durations of 7–8 months.
