We are currently assisting our client, a local law firm, with a search for a Legal Assistant.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Legal Assistant provides both administrative and project coordination support to the Client Services team. This role bridges client services, legal document management, and internal coordination — ensuring projects and transactions move efficiently and meet quality standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives on balancing legal support tasks with structured project execution.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Work with the Project Manager to plan and manage task workflows and timelines.
- Monitor the central client inbox for requests and assign tasks accordingly.
- Attend client meetings, as necessary, (e.g., GCS meetings) with attorneys to take notes, track action items, and follow up.
- Draft, post, and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
- Support the creation, assignment, and tracking of scoped projects and tasks within budget and timeframes.
- Assist with capacity and schedule management.
- Help maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
Legal Assistant Duties
- Draft basic correspondence and routine client communications for attorney review.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, corporate filings, and client forms.
- Maintain and organize client files in NetDocuments and other firm systems.
- Coordinate with registered agent services, filing offices, and vendors for document submissions.
- Manage deadlines, tickler systems, and follow-ups for filings or deliverables.
- Conduct preliminary research (e.g., corporate entity lookups, state compliance requirements).
- Assist with client onboarding, engagement setup, and project opening/closing procedures.
- Support attorneys with administrative and clerical tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
A Successful Candidate Will
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of both legal operations and project processes.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Adapt quickly to legal software and task management systems.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold firm standards.
Requirements and Skills
- Prior experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or project coordinator (law firm experience preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal or project management software (e.g., NetDocuments, Teamwork).
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to shifting needs.
Reports To: Client Services Lead for accountability, metrics, and development
Location: The office is located in Bellevue, WA. This position is a remote role.

Compensation Range: $28-$33/hour depending on experience
