Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
Andersen Bakery is looking for an Assistant Manager candidate for our Market Place location in San Ramon, CA. The perfect candidate will help improve store operations, maintain a healthy work environment, and enhance the overall customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in staffing, orientation and training.
• Ensure all company policies are being upheld and followed.
• Assist in producing and reviewing daily working schedule; manage employee break and meal periods; attendance.
• Ensure inventory is being processed on a regular basis; make sure adequate order and supply of all products and materials to maximize sales potential and minimize loss.
• Inspect daily deliveries to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
• Check daily cash control, bank deposits, POS glitches; report any and all discrepancies to manager and IT support.
• Deliver impeccable customer service on a daily basis; address customer issues and resolve in a timely manner.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
• Maintain flexibility to changing policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have or obtain food handlers card within 30 days of employment
• 1-2 years’ experience managing staff, handling monetary transactions/deposits, and stock control.
• Capable of performing and supervising any and all store tasks.
• Strong adherence to designated specs, ingredients, recipes, and procedures.
• Must have effective problem solving and decision making abilities.
• Must have a basic understanding of COG's and COL to meet performance goals.
• Highly motivated, organized, and operate under minimal supervision.
• Possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude, and professionalism at all times.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
