Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager/Bartender to lead our bar operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a lively hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth service throughout shifts
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision and flair
- Oversee inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Train, supervise, and develop bar staff to uphold high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; perform cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to legal requirements
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage pairing when applicable
- Implement training & development programs for staff to enhance skills in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols
- Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours while controlling labor costs
- Enforce policies related to food safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service
Skills
- Extensive bartending experience with a strong knowledge of mixology techniques
- Proven management or supervisory experience within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train & develop team members effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Ability to manage inventory control efficiently and oversee food & beverage operations
- Experience in managing shift schedules in fast-paced environments such as casual dining or fine dining restaurants
- Familiarity with restaurant management software and budgeting principles
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
