Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and control the accuracy and quality of student records, and ensure that all data privacy regulations are adhered to, and violations are minimized.
- Assimilate requests to access student records, and provide information to authorized personnel within compliance of privacy laws and guidelines.
- Cooperate closely with teaching staff, administration, parents, students, and other stakeholders to consolidate and update student records for future use.
- Monitor, review and periodically update records system to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Execute appropriate disposal of obsolete records, ensuring adherence to data protection and destruction policies.
- Arrange and produce analytical reports of student data for required state, federal, and other pertinent reports.
- High School Diploma.
- Prior professional experience in record-keeping, data management, or a directly related field is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to network effectively across multiple departments and able to explain complex regulations in easy-to-understand terms to staff and parents.
- Extreme detail-orientation and strong organizational skills, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using a variety of database management software.
