Job Summary
Hanover Bank is looking for a full time BSA Analyst I to join our team. The BSA Analyst I is responsible for assisting with certain aspects of the Bank’s BSA/AML compliance program. They will review and investigate alerts and perform other BSA compliance duties as assigned.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review & clear alerts generated by the Bank’s BSA/AML transaction monitoring system. Escalate alerts to cases for further review in a timely manner.
- Daily monitoring of data scan audit log, OFAC review, and unvalidated transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) within the required time frames.
- Review the Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation for accuracy and consistency.
- Perform Enhanced Due Diligence reviews on High-Risk Customers.
- Analyze the data imported daily into the automated transaction monitoring system.
- Stay current with changes in BSA and related laws & regulations.
- Handle any other duties or special projects as assigned by BSA and the BSA Manager.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 1 - 3 years BSA experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge and understanding of general banking principles
- Strong internet research skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Ability to work and contribute in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Hourly rate: $24-28; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level.
