Football - Defensive Coordinator

Position Overview

Hanover College (D-III - IN) is accepting applications for a full-time (10 month) Defensive Coordinator/Linebacker Football Coach. This is an immediate opening for a motivated and experienced individual to lead and develop the defensive unit of our football program.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Defensive Coordinator, overseeing all aspects of the defensive strategy and execution.
• Coach and develop linebackers, providing position-specific training and mentorship.
• Collaborate with the head coach and other staff to develop game plans and scouting reports.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA Division III regulations.
• Manage defensive staff and coordinate practice sessions focused on defensive skills and tactics.
• Promote academic success and personal development of student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience coaching defense and linebackers preferred.
• College coaching and recruiting experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaching staff, and administration.
