Summary

The YMCA is seeking dedicated School Program Staff to join our team. In this role, you will support educational programs that enhance childhood development and provide a safe, engaging environment for children. Your contributions will help shape the lives of young individuals while promoting community values.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs for children.
• Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Support childhood development through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Provide tutoring and academic support to students as needed.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program experience.
• Facilitate recreational activities such as camps and theater programs.

Requirements

• Experience in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in tutoring or providing academic support is a plus.
