What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Harscape/Landscape Supply and Design Center Manager position at Hanover Architectural Products?
Hanover® Architectural Products supplies homeowners, landscape contractors, and designers with concrete and porcelain pavers, landscaping stone, mulch, boulders, and paver installation tools and accessories. We're hiring a hands-on manager to run both of our hardscape and landscape supply and design centers.
What You'll Do
- Lead, train, and schedule office and delivery staff at both stores
- Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, stocking, and inventory at both stores
- Build the delivery schedule and coordinate inbound shipments
- Manage and schedule winter snow plowing and deicing
- Help customers and contractors choose products and estimate materials
- Track trends, plan local marketing with our corporate team, and grow contractor relationships
- Hit sales, margin, and inventory targets and manage store budgets
What You Bring
- 3 years of management experience in retail, building materials, or landscape supply
- Working knowledge of pavers, natural stone, aggregates, and mulch
- Experience with purchasing, inventory control, and scheduling
- Comfort with POS/inventory systems and Excel
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift 50 lbs, and work extended hours in peak season
- Bonus: CDL, hardscape installation or design experience, equipment experience (forklift, front-end loader, skid steer), or bilingual English/Spanish
