Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will lead production teams, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and optimize manufacturing processes. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and familiarity with factory environments to maintain efficient assembly lines and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shift activities on the manufacturing floor, ensuring production goals are achieved efficiently and safely
- Manage and motivate assembly line workers, providing guidance and support to meet quality and productivity standards
- Operate and oversee equipment such as forklifts, power tools, and hand tools to facilitate manufacturing processes
- Monitor inventory levels in the warehouse, coordinate material movement, and ensure proper storage practices
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a safe working environment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on machinery and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Maintain detailed shift reports, track performance metrics, and communicate updates to upper management
Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
- Hands-on experience with assembly lines, warehouse operations, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and machinery operation
- Familiarity with forklift operation is highly desirable
- Prior experience working with assembly processes within a manufacturing facility is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
