What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiology Nurse Specialist position at Hannibal Regional?
To identify needs/gaps in education and quality performance with the clinical team. Oversee and facilitate resources identified by GAP analysis to improve clinical knowledge and process improvement for the organization. Organize and assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and programs. Coordinate and review data from all program registries that are used in association with Cardiology at this organization.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with MSN
- Maintains current and unrestricted State of Missouri licensure
- 5 years’ experience in Specialty or Related field and/or Supervising Experience
- Familiar with Basic Nursing Performance Standards as outlined in the MO Nurse Practice Act
- Demonstrates clinical competence and ethical practice
- Demonstrates ability to function within an employed clinical environment
- Demonstrates ability to function collaboratively with the Group Director and all physicians in the Cardiology practice.
- Commitment to community-based delivery of primary care clinical services within the community served
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and enthusiasm for change
- BLS and ACLS, as appropriate
