What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Forklift Operator position at Hanner RV Supercenter?
Fork Lift Operator:
RV Fork Lift Operator should be able to effectively/safely move RVs around the lot, as well as communicate with internal employees to ensure we are exceeding the expectations set forth by Sales and Guests. If any damage happens you must immediately notify Service Manager. We all assist guests in unhooking/hooking trailers when needed. We expect every employee to take pride in the work we do, you are all vital to the Guest experience.
Daily Expectations:
· Morning routine begins with moving trailers from entry and exit gates before 8am.
· Every morning you should view the delivery sheet and make sure which units are to go out for the day, and pre-stage them accordingly. For new sales PDI make sure they are plugged in and slides are out.
· Communicate with Shop Manager on next trailers to move for techs to begin working on.
· Customer dropped trailers will be tagged by Service and they will notify you when the checked in unit is ready to be moved to service staging lot. (Upper lot behind building)
· When helping guests unhook make sure we put all their personal belongings back in compartments hitches, blocks, chocks etc….
· Throughout the day consistently communicate with techs in regards to when they will be ready for the next trailer to be delivered to their bay.
· The goal is to be ahead of the technicians next up bay communicating 15min before they are ready will help us achieve/maintain this.
· Review daily work expectations and communicate with Sales on any free time that may arise to allow time to keep our lot appearance in good order.
· The lot is in excellent condition meaning all units are in ready to show state. (Properly parked straight and clean no trash on lot) making sure lights are off in units on lot.
· Make sure your personal hygiene and appearance meet the standards set forth by Hanner RV.
· Make certain we are treating each other with respect and consideration.
· Keep your work area free from clutter and trash (during downtime make sure the shop trash is emptied and all areas are swept up).
· End of the day routine begins by locking and blocking the front gate 15min before closing, then staging the forklift by exit gate for closing crew to finish locking up.

Production: Every unit is moved promptly with no damages sustained. Keeping techs productive and working in their bays
