Substitute Teacher

Hannah's House Academy is a faith-based early childhood learning center dedicated to nurturing the hearts and minds of young children, providing a safe and loving environment for their growth and development. As a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Childcare Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of these precious children.

This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time as needed, and we're seeking someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is passionate about early childhood development.

• Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that fosters children's social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Fill-in for our primary teachers when needed.
• Provide close supervision of children at all times, ensuring their safety during classroom, playground, meal, and other activities.
• Maintain open communication with parents and staff, providing professional and positive interactions.
• Ensure adherence to state licensing guidelines and center policies, upholding the highest standards of care and quality.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of classroom spaces, creating an inviting and functional environment.

• High school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR Certified is a must (or willing to obtain certification).
• Previous childcare experience is essential, and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and actively engage with young children.
• A background check is required, and candidates must pass it.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and punctual individuals are highly valued in this role.
• A passion for early childhood development is a must, and candidates should be supportive of our faith-based mission and values.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.

• It's important to note that this is not a full-time position, nor a guaranteed part-time position with a set number of hours. This position is as-need and hours may vary.**

• A servant-hearted leader who can inspire and motivate the team.
• Someone with a positive and patient attitude, who can remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow, with a desire to continuously improve and develop their skills.
• 2 years of experience in childcare is preferred, but not required.
• Someone who sees their role as a ministry, not just a job, and is passionate about serving and caring for young children.
• This role is a part-time, as needed position to substitute for our primary educators while they are sick, have appointments, or if the center needs an extra hand for an event.
