Job Summary:
As a Project Manager at Hanlon, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of our specialty subcontracting projects. Working closely with our internal teams, clients, and general contractors, you will ensure the seamless delivery of our services, meeting project requirements, and achieving customer satisfaction. Your strong leadership, organization, and communication skills will be crucial in driving project success and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for our specialty subcontracting work.
- Coordinate and supervise project activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Regularly review project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts, taking necessary actions to control costs and maximize profitability for the subcontracting work.
- Project Coordination and Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with our internal teams, including estimators, designers, and installation crews, to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Liaise with general contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and address any project-related concerns.
- Coordinate material procurement and deliveries to ensure timely availability for project execution.
- Provide guidance and support to our installation crews, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Project Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, project schedules, and other project-related records.
- Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting key milestones, project status, and any issues or challenges encountered.
- Collaborate with the internal team to generate as-built documentation and contribute to project closeout activities.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, building codes, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the project.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify that our specialty subcontracting work meets project specifications and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to implement and maintain a robust safety program for our subcontracting projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the commercial construction industry, with a focus on specialty subcontracting.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, and building codes, particularly related to specialty subcontracting work.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide internal teams to achieve project objectives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
