Position Title: 1st and 2nd Shift Forklift Driver
Location: Romulus, MI
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Weekend), 1st Shift (6:30am- 3:00pm) and 2nd shift (3:00pm - completion)
Hourly Wage: 17.00 for 1st shift- 18.00 2nd shift.
Position Summary:
Hanline Frozen Foods is seeking first and second shift forklift driver for shipping and receiving purposes and provide support to our production floor.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring accuracy in order picking and shipping.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards while handling materials and operating machinery.
- Maintain inventory records using warehouse management systems and RF scanners.
- Assist in training new staff and support warehouse supervisors in daily operations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in materials handling and warehouse operations
- Proficient in operating forklifts and heavy equipment
- Familiarity with distribution center processes and order picking
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate cherry pickers and clamp trucks
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is a plus
