What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at Hanley Landscaping Services?
We are seeking a skilled mechanic with experience working on commercial vehicles, primarily Ford Super Duty trucks, as well as light heavy equipment, and general small-engine equipment.
This role is responsible for maintaining and managing our fleet and shop operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
- Track maintenance and repairs using a fleet management program
- Schedule preventative maintenance and inspections
- Support parts, tools, and equipment purchasing
- Organize and maintain a clean, efficient shop space
- Act as the day-to-day shop manager for fleet operations
Schedule
- Part-time position
- 1–2 days per week, advancement to full-time available
- Flexible scheduling
- Must be able to respond to emergency call-outs during snow storms for emergency repairs.
Pay: $ $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
