Job Summary**
The SWGR Logistical Technician at Hanley, Inc. is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials related to Switchgear (SWGR) components and finished products, ensuring timely delivery and inventory integrity within the manufacturing and distribution processes.
Job Responsibilities**
* Receive, inspect, and verify incoming SWGR materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
* Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space and accessibility.
* Execute material picking and kitting processes for production orders, ensuring correct quantities and part numbers.
* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to maintain accurate stock levels.
* Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with materials or products.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping departments to ensure smooth material flow.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous experience (1-3 years) in a logistics, warehouse, or material handling role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with Switchgear (SWGR) components or similar large industrial equipment is a significant advantage.
* Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety guidelines, and material specifications.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and practices.
