Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager IV (PMP Certified) to lead complex projects across multiple disciplines within our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven expertise in project management methodologies, program development, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project lifecycles from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of various project management tools and frameworks are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day execution of the SVRS implementation
- Lead daily coordination with stakeholders, project teams, and ELECT staff
- Attend and facilitate daily in-person and virtual meetings
- Track and manage project performance metrics using Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP)
- Ensure compliance with Commonwealth Project Management (CPM) standards
- Maintain and oversee the SVRS project calendar and milestones
- Conduct regular project status briefings to internal leadership and external bodies, including the Interagency Oversight Committee
- Proactively identify, document, and mitigate project risks
Required Qualifications (MANDATORY)
Candidates not meeting ALL required criteria will not be considered
- Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
(Must upload certification copy with submission)
- 10 years of project management experience
- Proven experience as PM of record for:
- A Category 1 or 2 Commonwealth of Virginia project valued at $5M , OR
- A non-COV project valued at $10M
- Documented risk management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Microsoft Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
