What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Hank's Pet Food Market?
Seeking the right person who is mature, responsible, honest, reliable, has a flexible schedule and someone who loves animals, as well as, having a philosophy that nutrition is important to your pet's over all health. We are open 7 days a week so we need someone with the ability to devote at least 20 hour per week and be available weekends.
Sales Associate will learn about pet products, listen to customers needs and questions and provide knowledgeable customer service. With training Sales Associate will help customers check out, provide options about frequent buyer and loyalty programs to build customer base. Sales Associate will work in store stocking, checking in and storing orders, and provide information about out of stock items. Associate will help customers get their purchases to their cars and will be responsible for cleaning floor, dusting shelves and cleaning up after dogs or cats visiting the store, in addition to other duties.

customer service
listening to customers
hauling products to register and to customers cars
checking customers out at cash register
must be able to lift 50 lbs
stocking or restocking products
general cleaning of store, bathrooms, storage areas
checking in new orders, stocking and storing products once received
completing sales
updating frequent buyer programs
learning about products
keeping accurate inventory records
learning about local rescue groups
help supervisor with jobs as assigned
have fun
give visiting pets attention, treats
acknowledging every person who comes in the store
learning customers and their pets names
and other duties as assigned
minimum requirements - you will not be considered if you do not meet these requirements
high school graduate or equivalent - must be over 18 years of age
at least one year retail sale experience -
customer service experience - pet food experience is preferred
computer experience
ability to pass a background check
ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Working knowledge of pet health/pet products also highly desired
