Company Description
Hank’s Excavating & Landscaping, Inc. has been providing the St. Louis metropolitan area the best in quality, safety & service since 1978. We are a heavy-highway, civil contractor that does everything from complete road reconstruction and storm/sanitary sewer to water work and demolition. We are currently looking for a Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in DOT, earthwork and heavy civil construction.
A Day in the Life
In a typical day you can expect to be a part of and doing the following:
- Working effectively with Owners, Subcontractors, Engineers and State and local government representatives
- Helping manage daily needs for the on-site superintendents
- Involved in tracking and recording job progress and cost
- Preparation and maintenance of project files
- Procurement, coordination, delivery and certification of materials via use of purchase orders
- Ensuring that work meets the standards and specifications
- Conducting site visits
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The following skills and attributes would help ensure your success:
- Ability to read and decipher blueprints, plan scale and plan specifications
- Math skills to accurately apply formulas as they relate to concrete, asphalt, rock, dirt, etc.
- Experience with HCSS software products preferred
- Computer Skills and ability to learn systems and programs
- Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and problem-solving skills
