We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of automotive glass, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience with various tools and techniques used in the automotive glass industry.
Duties
- Perform installation and replacement of automotive glass, including windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to ensure precise glass fitting and secure installation.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
- Assemble components as needed during the glass installation process.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding services performed and any additional recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to auto glass repair and installation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto glass installation or related automotive repair fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and auto body repair techniques is a plus.
- Experience in window tinting is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
