We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team for evening and weekend shifts. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations during evening and weekend shifts, including supervising line cooks and kitchen staff.
- Assist with menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management to ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Assist with dishwashing.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and portion control to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and proper food presentation.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor food quality during service times, making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper handling techniques.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a kitchen setting is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
