Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Prosthetist/Orthotist based in Arlington, TX. The Prosthetist/Orthotist will design, fit, and manage custom prosthetic and orthotic devices to meet the mobility needs of patients. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, conducting thorough evaluations, formulating treatment plans, and performing gait analysis. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and educating patients on device use and maintenance are integral to the role.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Orthotics and Prosthetics, with the ability to design, fabricate, and fit devices to meet individual patient needs
- Proficiency in Gait Analysis and understanding of biomechanics, essential for assessing and improving patient mobility
- Knowledge of Orthopedic Surgery and general Medicine to integrate with broader patient care
- Certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) or the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC)
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a patient-centric approach to care
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related healthcare field
- Experience working in an orthotics or prosthetics clinic or relevant healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and patient interaction
