Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, ensure proper food handling procedures, and uphold sanitation standards throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, particularly in fine dining or nightlife environments such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and basic math skills for billing and cash handling
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable; hospitality background is a plus
