We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Coat Check attendant to enhance guest experience at our event venue. This role involves managing coat and personal item storage, ensuring safety and security, and providing excellent guest service. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality or event management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. Duties
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with coat and personal item check-in
- Manage the secure storage of coats and belongings using POS systems or manual tracking methods
- Process cash transactions accurately for coat check services
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during guest interactions and handling of items
- Resolve guest concerns or conflicts promptly and professionally
- Assist with crowd management during busy events or peak times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coat check area
- Provide information about event schedules or venue amenities as needed
- Support event staff with guest services, including answering questions and guiding guests around the venue
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including manual handling of heavy items when necessary.
Skills
- Excellent customer service and guest relations skills
- Experience managing events or working in hospitality environments such as resorts or theaters
- Strong conflict management abilities to handle guest concerns diplomatically
- Knowledge of safety protocols including CPR and first aid (certifications preferred)
- Ability to perform manual handling of heavy items safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Effective communication skills, including public speaking when addressing guests or staff
- Experience working outdoors or in outdoor event settings is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism under pressure
