The Mechanical Discipline Engineering Group Lead will provide oversight and integration of the mechanical design engineering team, including the planning and coordination of assigned work, deployment of resources, technical oversight and quality assurance of the design deliverables.
- Promote a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the H2C mission, vision, and values.
- Effectively lead members of the design discipline including providing technical guidance, encouraging their professional development and establishing arrangements that allow them to perform effectively in their discipline.
- Ensure that design discipline staff are suitably trained, experienced and qualified as required for their specialty.
- Support the maintenance of the design discipline capability through participation in staffing reviews, recruiting efforts and performance evaluations.
- Serve as the primary interface with the Design Leads supporting the design engineering work execution planning process including the preparation of design discipline schedules and work hour estimates.
- Coordinate the assignment of design discipline resources to design engineering tasks including the selection of candidates for matrixing to Design Leads.
- Oversee the work being performed in their discipline ensuring compliance with processes, procedures and standards and adherence to cost and schedule requirements.
- Although this role includes administrative oversight responsibilities, it is a Working Lead role. The selected candidate will be assigned design engineering tasks that include individual contributor and/or design team member scope elements by the Manager of Design Engineering.
Required Qualifications
Grade 20:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline; and
Ten (10) years of related experience
Grade 21:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline; and
Twelve (12) years of related experience
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Engineering Technical Staff Qualification
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Previous supervisory or management experience
Codes/Standards experience in process piping design and/or nuclear HVAC design
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $129,063
Hiring Range Maximum: $179,113

Salary : $129,063 - $179,113
