Essential Job Duties Associated With This Position Include
- Assisting planners, engineers, and schedulers in planning and executing work efficiently.
- Managing and overseeing bargaining unit personnel to ensure timely and effective completion of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Coordinating all activities related to the assigned work scope with customer representatives.
- Recommending personnel actions for assigned staff in accordance with HMIS policies and procedures.
- Planning and scheduling resources to meet work priorities effectively.
- Working directly with bargaining unit personnel in the field to maintain safe, continuous operations.
- Engaging and collaborating with operations and other stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Managing personnel and allocating resources within budgetary constraints.
- Investigating and reporting all workplace events and incidents promptly.
- Ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
- Supporting the implementation and management of work packages and the overall work management process.
- Determining schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority, equipment availability, and personnel skill levels.
- Monitoring employees' work levels, reviewing performance, and providing feedback.
- Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures as necessary.
- Conducting or coordinating worker training in safety protocols, repair and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, and equipment use.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance or electrical services, including leadership experience (i.e., Fieldwork Supervisor, Supervisor, Superintendent, General Foreman or Foreman).
- 5 years minimum as a journeyman level electrician (01).
