Job Summary
The School Mental Health Clinician (SMHC) was established for the purpose of providing a variety of mental health services to students within a tiered intervention framework. Services provided by the clinician will include support of a safe and caring learning environments for all students in partnerships between home, school and the community. The School Mental Health Clinician provides a variety of educationally related mental health services to special education students. Additionally, the School Mental Health Clinician will work with students and function as a personal advocate and an intermediary in seeking prevention and solutions to social-emotional problems that may hinder personal growth and academic achievement. The School Mental Health Clinician will also provide clinical supervision to licensed Marriage Family interns or Associate Clinical Social Workers.
