Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Maintenance Person to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities across residential, commercial, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, electrical experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve various maintenance issues efficiently. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues and execute repairs effectively
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults
- Conduct residential painting and general carpentry tasks as needed
- Weld metal components using appropriate techniques to repair or fabricate parts
- Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with team members, and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Assist with facilities management tasks including cleaning, landscaping, and minor construction projects
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or related fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with welding, residential painting, and general maintenance person tasks highly desirable
- Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance operations is a plus
- Proficiency in the use of tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments
- Excellent communication skills in English; able to follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license preferred for off-site repairs or facility visits
