Duties
- Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to execute repairs and installations accurately
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Perform repairs on equipment, fixtures, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components using power tools and manual handling techniques
- Assist with erosion control measures and implement safety regulations in accordance with OSHA standards
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, or other structures safely to access work areas requiring height work or climbing skills
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols including respiratory protection and heavy lifting procedures
- Support construction projects by implementing erosion control strategies and adhering to industrial construction safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial construction or maintenance roles with a focus on safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings for accurate implementation of tasks
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and power tools operation
- Strong manual handling skills including heavy lifting and climbing in various environments
- Familiarity with erosion control techniques and environmental safety practices
- Knowledge of respiratory protection equipment use and other personal protective gear requirements
- Excellent understanding of workplace safety procedures, including implementation of OSHA safety standards
