1 Crew Lead / Foreman ($18/hr)Role and Responsibilities:
The Crew Lead / Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the job site, managing the labor team, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and up to quality standards. This is a working leadership role.
- Site Supervision & Leadership: Direct, motivate, and supervise the general laborers. Assign daily tasks and ensure the team remains productive and on schedule.
- Project Oversight: Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, or work orders to execute tasks accurately. Track progress and report updates to management/clients.
- Quality Control: Inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure it meets company standards, local building codes, and client specifications.
- Safety Enforcement: Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all crew members strictly follow OSHA guidelines, wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and operate tools safely.
- Material & Tool Management: Coordinate the delivery, inventory, and proper use of materials and equipment. Report any tool malfunctions or material shortages immediately.
- Hands-on Labor: Lead by example by actively participating in construction tasks alongside the crew when supervisory duties allow.
2 General Construction Laborers ($15/hr)Roles and Responsibilities:
General Construction Laborers provide the essential physical labor and support required to keep the job site running efficiently. They follow the direction of the Crew Lead to assist in various stages of the build.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Clear work areas of debris, hazards, and waste material. Set up scaffolding, ladders, and temporary structures as needed.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move construction materials (e.g., lumber, drywall, cement, tools) to the appropriate locations on-site.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, mixers, and pneumatic equipment, after proper training.
- Assisting Trades: Provide support to the Crew Lead or skilled tradespeople with tasks such as measuring, cutting, positioning materials, and basic framing or demolition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, wear required PPE at all times, and immediately report any unsafe site conditions to the Crew Lead.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each workday to ensure they remain in good working condition.
