Handyman Home Services is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our residential construction and remodeling team.
This is a hands-on position for an experienced carpenter who is comfortable leading projects while also performing the work. Our projects vary from general home repairs to larger residential remodeling and improvement projects.
Pay: $24-$27 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Lead residential repair and remodeling projects from start to completion.
- Perform general carpentry, framing, trim, door installation, and repair work.
- Perform or assist with drywall, painting, flooring, tile, siding, and other residential improvement work.
- Review project scopes, drawings, measurements, and material requirements.
- Coordinate daily tasks with other crew members.
- Provide guidance to less-experienced employees.
- Troubleshoot job-site conditions and determine appropriate solutions.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Ensure completed work meets company quality standards.
Qualifications
- Professional carpentry or residential construction experience.
- Experience completing residential repair and remodeling projects.
- Ability to work independently and lead other crew members when needed.
- Proficiency with common construction hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of residential construction methods and materials.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
