Responsibilities
- Install and repair residential plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation projects
- Collaborate with construction teams on remodeling and renovation projects
- Conduct inspections to ensure plumbing systems meet safety standards and building codes
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues related to plumbing and HVAC systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, remodeling, or related fields
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, welding, HVAC systems, and general plumbing components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations
- Experience with carpentry or maintenance person work is a plus
- Valid commercial driver’s license (preferred) for transporting materials or equipment
