What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Tech position at Hands on physical Therapy?
ob Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and their assistants with rehabilitation activities under their supervision.
- Prepare treatment areas and set up equipment before therapy sessions.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment spaces.
- Assist with transporting residents to and from the rehabilitation department, as needed.
- Help residents safely position themselves and prepare for scheduled therapy sessions.
- Set up and organize therapy supplies, mobility aids, and adaptive equipment.
- Monitor residents during activities and promptly report any discomfort, changes in condition, or safety concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized rehabilitation environment.
- Follow facility infection-control procedures, safety protocols, and resident confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including organizing schedules and maintaining therapy-related documentation, as assigned.
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
