Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
- Educate clients on the benefits of different massage therapies and recommend appropriate treatments for pain management or relaxation.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client preferences, treatment notes, and progress updates.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to all health regulations and sanitation protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients about their comfort levels and adjust techniques accordingly for optimal results.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in physiology, anatomy, occupational health, and medical terminology to enhance service quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and pain management techniques.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate clearly.
- Familiarity with occupational health standards and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic practices.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required for safety compliance.
- Prior experience working in spas or similar healthcare environments is preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with clients through compassionate client communication and professional demeanor.
