We are looking for dependable, compassionate people to provide direct oversight of our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in our day centers. This is full-time position consists of working part-time as the Team Member Coordinator and working part-time alongside other DSPs as a Direct Support Professional.

TMC Job Summary

The Team Member Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and directing operations of one of our day center locations and intermittent services. This includes hiring, training, and scheduling staff, implementing program plans, and coordinating appointments and activities for the individuals we support. This position works primarily day hours Monday through Friday although some weekends may be required on occasion.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper services are provided to address the wants and needs of people with developmental disabilities as written in the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Ensure a safe, positive, and encouraging atmosphere in the day center for the people we support.
  • Ensure each individuals’ rights are protected and they are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Demonstrate and train team members to interact with the people we support in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including but not limited to individual plan data, behavior plan data, community integration logs, assessments, individual funds requests, communication book, mileage logs, maintenance requests forms, and supply acquisition forms.
  • Safeguard individual’s funds, assisting individuals with purchases.
  • Effectively hire, train, coach, evaluate and mentor team members.
  • Ensure assigned team members record their time accurately and approve timecards in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate the integration of individuals into the community by accompanying them to recreational and social activities.
  • Intervene when aggressive and/or inappropriate behavior occurs to implement behavior plans and strategies.
  • Provide on-call support to staff during emergencies and locate staff to fill shifts when necessary.
  • Ensure assigned facilities and vehicles are clean and compliant with HOH and state requirements.
  • Complete and remain current on all required trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

DSP Job Summary

As you Direct Support Professional you will work directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting and supporting them with day to day living activities.

  • Day Center DSP, you will support and assist individuals with planned group-based or individual-focused activities at the day center and in community settings.
  • In-Home/ Intermittent Support Professional as a DSP, you will support and assist individuals with their day to day living activities in a home environment and in community settings. This includes but is not limited to meal planning, grocery shopping, or household chores. You must display a strong sense of professionalism since you will be going into other people’s homes.

Key Responsibilities for all DSP positions

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation, based on the individual’s level of need.
  • Support the individual in developing and maintaining skills, which could include money management, household chores, self-advocacy, and communication. Based on individual's needs, goals, and support plan.
  • Implement goals and objectives from the individual’s person-centered support plan and document progress as required.
  • Monitor and promote the individual’s health and well-being while following safety protocols.
  • Encourage social interaction and community inclusion through meaningful activities and relationship building.
  • This position requires you to transport individuals in a motor vehicle.

Education & Experience

  • At least two years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred
  • One year supervisory/leader experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Current automobile insurance
  • Ability to pass registry and background checks

Salary : $45,000
