What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onboarding Specialist position at Hands of Heartland?

We are looking for an Onboarding Specialist to work with the Human Resource team to ensure new employees are onboarded in the most efficient manner. This position will provide exceptional customer service to new hires and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process. This person must be very organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitates the new employee experience ensuring background checks and new hire paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Serve as the go-to resource for new employees during their onboarding journey, providing guidance, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Enter new employee into various systems including the HRIS, EHR, and Employee Engagement systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, records, and documentation.

Provide customer service support to team members.
Provides clerical support to the HR department. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of administrative experience
- Prior human resources experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft computer programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
