Job Summary
The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies, and promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability. This role serves as a key advisor to leadership and employees on workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and compliance with employment laws.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, workplace complaints, and policy interpretation
- Conduct thorough, impartial investigations into employee complaints such as harassment, discrimination, and misconduct
- Partner with the Quality Assurance department on abuse, neglect, exploitation investigations
- Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain employee relations policies, procedures, and best practices
- Analyze employee relations trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend proactive solutions
- Lead training sessions for managers and employees on topics such as workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and company policies
- Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on employee impact and communication strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in accordance with company standards and legal requirements
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Five or more years’ experience in human resources with a focus on employee relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, organizational development, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proven experience conducting workplace investigations
