Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professionals/DSP in various settings such as their home and the community. You will support individuals with activities, habilitation, and daily living activities in Grand Island, NE.
What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings.
Shift Need and Hours:
- Full-time or Part-time hours available.
- Evenings with every other weekend required. Evening shift is 3p-11p.
- Flexible scheduling for all shifts is also available as hours for in-home support vary based on individual's needs.
- Every other weekend is required for all shifts.
Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass all required background checks. Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Experience not required – we will train you!
Pay: $16/ hour is starting. Pay range is $16- $17 an hour. We pay more for direct experience and holding an active Nebraska CNA license!
