Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)/ Caregiver. Our residential locations in Council Bluffs, IA are looking for Evenings 3-11pm or weekends Saturday and Sunday.
What a Direct Support Professional Does: Works directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting them with day to day living activities. Supports individuals with activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings.
Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals.
Personality Traits: Empathy. Patience. Understanding. Compassion. Adaptable. Respectful. Dependable. Sound Judgement.
Requirements: Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks. Experience not required- we will train.
Pay: Starting Pay: 17.00/hour. We pay more for experience and if you have a CNA license. Incentives also available.
