Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in a hospice setting
- Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, symptom control, and end-of-life care options
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Minimum of [1] years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Proficiency in triage, tube feeding, laboratory procedures, medication administration, phlebotomy, and acute care
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Athenahealth) is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Knowledge of end-of-life care principles and practices
